Welcome to Digest.AI (the “Service”) of Graph Paper Co. (“GraphPaper”, “we”, “us” and/or “our”). This Site is operated by GraphPaper and has been created to provide information about our company and our service, GraphPaper, which includes real-time information search, creation, communication, and messaging services and related systems and technologies, and mobile applications (together with the Site, the “Service(s)”) to our Service users and visitors (“you”, “your”). This Privacy Policy sets forth GraphPaper’s policy with respect to information including personally identifiable data (“Personal Data”) and other information that is collected from visitors to the Site and users of the Services. At the outset, we want to be clear that GraphPaper is not in the business of selling your information. We consider our custodianship of your information to be a vital part of our relationship with you. There are, however, certain ways in which we will use your Personal Data, as set forth in more detail in this policy.

Personal Identification Information

We collect Personal Data from you, such as your name, email address and company name, when you voluntarily provide such information, such as when you contact us with inquiries, register for access to our Service, or use certain Services. We may also collect your credit card information if you decide to upgrade your plan with us. By providing us with Personal Data, you are consenting to our use of it in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you provide Personal Data, you acknowledge and agree that such Personal Data may be stored on the servers of GraphPaper and other authorized parties located in any country. When you download and use our Services, we automatically collect information on the type of device you use, operating system version, and the device identifier. We do not ask you for, access or track any location based information from your mobile device at any time while downloading or using our Apps or services.

When you sign up with Digest, you authorize us to access information about your Slack account. We only collect the information needed to provide you with the best experience using our product.

In order for Digest to be integrated with Slack and perform its bot duties, Digest collects the following information when you authorize your Slack account.

  • Your Slack profile information: Information that you provided to Slack, such as your email address, username, full name, timezone, your Slack user ID, and your profile picture file.
  • Your Slack team member profile information: The profile information for the users within the Slack account(s) that you authorized.
  • Your Slack channel information: The name of the channel and its associated Slack channel ID is collected.
  • Your Slack channel history: When generating the daily summary, Digest bot retrieves the messages from your Slack team's public channels in the last 24 hours. We do NOT collect information on attachment files, images, or linked resources. Only text messages are processed and passed through our in-house compression algorithm. After all digest emails have been sent out, all data used in the process is permanently deleted from our servers. We do not store these messages.
  • You may authorize us to access your account-specific information when you are having problems with the Service. On your permission, we might receive log data when using our Service. This data includes your IP address, browser type, operating system to show interaction data with the Digest Bot in Slack.
Non-Personal Identification Information
  • Non-Identifiable Data: When you interact with GraphPaper through the Services, we receive and store certain personally non-identifiable information. Such information, which is collected passively using various technologies, will not be used to specifically identify you. GraphPaper may store such information itself or such information may be included in databases owned and maintained by GraphPaper affiliates, agents or service providers. The Services may use such information and pool it with other information to track, for example, the total number of users of our Services, the aspects of the Services being used, the domain names of our visitors' Internet service providers and the like. In operating the Services, we or our vendors may also use a technology called "cookies." A cookie is a piece of information that the computer that hosts our Services gives to your browser when you access the Services. Our cookies help provide additional functionality to the Services, help us analyze Services usage more accurately and may be used in marketing the Service. For instance, we may set a cookie on your browser that allows you to access the Services without needing to remember and then enter a password more than once during a visit. We will not collect Personal Data through such cookies except with your permission. On most web browsers, you will find a “help” section that provides information on how to receive notification when you are receiving a new cookie and how to turn cookies off. We recommend that you leave cookies turned on because you may not be able to use the Service without them. The use of cookies by our service providers is not covered by our privacy policy. We do not have access or control over these cookies. Our service providers use persistent cookies to gather statistics that improve quality of service. Our third party partners also employ clear gifs (a.k.a. Web Beacons/Web Bugs), images, and scripts that help them better manage content on our site. We do not tie the information gathered to our Customers’ or Users’ personal data.
  • Aggregated Personal Data: In an ongoing effort to better understand and serve the users of the Services, GraphPaper often conducts research on its customer demographics, interests and behavior based on the Personal Data and other information provided to us. This research may be compiled and analyzed on an aggregate basis, and GraphPaper may share this aggregate data with its affiliates, agents and business partners. This aggregate information does not identify you personally. GraphPaper may also disclose aggregated user statistics in order to describe our services to current and prospective business partners, customers and to other third parties for other lawful purposes.
  • Mobile, Web & E-mail Analytics: We use analytics software to allow us to better understand the functionality of our Software. This software may record information such as how often you use the application, the events that occur within the application, aggregated usage, performance data, and where the application was accessed from.
Web browser cookies

Our Site may use "cookies" to enhance User experience. User's web browser places cookies on their hard drive for record-keeping purposes and sometimes to track information about them. User may choose to set their web browser to refuse cookies, or to alert the user when cookies are being sent. If the user disables the cookies that some parts of the Site may not be accessible to user.

How we use collected information

GraphPaper uses the Personal Data and other information you provide in a manner that is consistent with this Privacy Policy. If you provide Personal Data for a certain reason, we may use the Personal Data in connection with the reason for which it was provided. For instance, if you contact us by email, we will use the Personal Data you provide to answer your question or resolve your problem. Also, if you provide Personal Data in order to obtain access to the Services, we will use your Personal Data to provide you with access to such services and to monitor your use of such services. GraphPaper and its subsidiaries and affiliates (the “Related Companies”) may also use your Personal Data and other personally non-identifiable information collected through the Services to help us improve the content and functionality of the Services, to better understand our users and to improve the Services, and to send you tips about using GraphPaper or inform you of new features and other news about GraphPaper. Any email we send to you, other than those necessary to operate the service, will include the means for you to "opt-out" of receiving similar email in the future. In addition, you can adjust your preferences for email communication.

How we protect your information

Excluding Personal Data collected as laid out above, GraphPaper does not store any content, channel information, messages, or other related information from Slack upon processing of such information as set out in the Service. We take reasonable administrative, physical and electronic measures designed to protect the information that we collect from or about you from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. All data exchanged with Digest is encrypted using SSL while in transit.

Sharing your personal information

In certain circumstances we may share your Personal Data with certain third parties without further notice to you, as set forth below:

  • Your Use: We will display your Personal Data on the Service (e.g., profile page) according to the preferences you set in your account. Please consider carefully what information you disclose in connection with the Services, how you select your preferences, and your desired level of privacy. For example, if you provide your phone number or Skype handle for use in the Service, then users of the Service within your business will be able to contact you in those ways.
  • Business Transfers: As we develop our business, we might sell or buy businesses or assets. In the event of a corporate sale, merger, reorganization, dissolution or similar event, Personal Data may be part of the transferred assets. You will be notified via email and/or a prominent notice on our Web site of any change in ownership or uses of your personal data, as well as any choices you may have regarding your personal data.
  • Related Companies: We may also share your Personal Data with our Related Companies for purposes consistent with this Privacy Policy.
  • Consultants and Similar Third Parties: GraphPaper, like many businesses, sometimes hires other companies to perform certain business-related functions. Examples of such functions include mailing information, hosting servers, providing data center services, and processing payments. When we use another entity to perform a function of this nature, we only provide them with the information that they need to perform their specific function. These companies are authorized to use your personal data only as necessary to provide these services to us.
  • Legal Requirements: GraphPaper may disclose your Personal Data if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to (i) comply with a legal obligation, (ii) protect and defend the rights or property of GraphPaper or third parties, (iii) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of the Services or the public, or (iv) protect against legal liability.
Business users

If you are a user whose company has a business account for the Services, our agreement with your company may contain additional terms and conditions relating to our use and disclosure of data (including Personal Data). In addition, your company’s administrator may have certain rights to access your information and Personal Data in connection with the Services and to set your company’s policies regarding your use of various aspects of the Services. Please refer to your company administrator if you have questions regarding any of the foregoing.

Data retention

We will retain your Personal Data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. We will retain and use your Personal Data as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Exclusions

This Privacy Policy does not apply to any Personal Data collected by GraphPaper other than Personal Data collected through the Services, the site, and the GraphPaper mobile application. This Privacy Policy shall also not apply to any unsolicited information you provide to GraphPaper through the Services or through any other means. This includes, but is not limited to any ideas for new products or modifications to existing products, and other unsolicited submissions (collectively, “Unsolicited Information”). All Unsolicited Information shall be deemed to be non-confidential and GraphPaper shall be free to reproduce, use, disclose, and distribute such Unsolicited Information to others without limitation or attribution.

Children

As a Service directed to adult business users, GraphPaper does not knowingly collect Personal Data from children under the age of 13. Children should not use the Service or submit any Personal Data through the Services. If you have reason to believe that a child under the age of 13 has provided Personal Data to GraphPaper through the Services, please contact us, and we will endeavor to delete that information from our databases.

Other services

This Privacy Policy applies only to the Services. The Services may contain links to or integrations with other websites and services not operated or controlled by GraphPaper (the “Third Parties”). The policies and procedures we described here do not apply to the Third Parties and we do not endorse those parties or their products or services. Please contact those parties directly for information on their privacy policies.

Testimonials

We display personal testimonials of satisfied customers on our site in addition to other endorsements. With your consent we may post your testimonial along with your name. If you wish to update or delete your testimonial, you can contact us at [email protected]

GraphPaper takes reasonable steps to protect the Personal Data provided via the Services from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access or disclosure. If you have any questions about security on our Web site, you can contact [email protected] When you enter sensitive information (such as login credentials) we encrypt the transmission of that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL). We follow generally accepted standards to protect the personal data submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. However, no electronic or email transmission or digital storage mechanism is ever fully secure or error free. Therefore, you should take special care in deciding what information you share electronically in connection with the Service.

Your access to and use of the Services is subject to our Terms of Service.

The Services and our business may change from time to time. As a result, at times it may be necessary for GraphPaper to make changes to this Privacy Policy. GraphPaper reserves the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time and from time to time without prior notice. This Service is provided by GraphPaper, conditional on your acceptance of the terms and conditions of use set forth. By browsing, accessing, using and/or downloading information (hereinafter collectively referred to as "Accessing" or "Access"), you agree to accept and abide by these Terms and Conditions for each use and each visit of this Service. If you do not agree to these Terms and Conditions, you should not access this Site.

The Terms and Conditions are entered into between GraphPaper and you. If you are using the Services on behalf of your employer, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms and Conditions on your employer's behalf. GraphPaper provides the Service and all related URLs and software (the "Services") to you, subject to the Terms and Conditions. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, the Terms and Conditions will govern your use of any new features that augment or enhance the current Services.
